About

Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by!

I’m Marnie, a Melbourne/Naarm-based freelance writer, journalist, podcaster and copywriter. Although that sounds like a lot, it all boils down to being a storyteller.

I’ve written for many reputable print and digital publications, including The Guardian, The Saturday Paper, ABC News, The Sydney Morning Herald/The Age, SBS News, Women’s Agenda, Eureka Street, Mumbrella, various Junkee titles, Pedestrian, Body+Soul, Whimn, Concrete Playground, Timeout and Healthline.

I was a part of Channel Seven’s Tokyo 2020 Official Olympics Coverage Team as a researcher and writer and have been been a guest on ABC Drive with Richard Glover, ABC Drive with Rafael Epstein, RN Drive with Patricia Karvelas, ABC Darwin with Liz Trevaskis and 3AW Mornings with Neil Michell.

I host and produce the Football Women of the Years Podcast for Essendon Women’s Network, where I interview notable women in the Australian Rules Football community.

I’m also very active on Twitter, where I mostly rant about AFLW/M games and share my thoughts on pop culture.

If you want to get in touch, find me at vinall.marnie@gmail.com.
